Abstract:
The present invention relates to sealing pipe (9) application apparatus comprising gear box (2) connected to air driving component (1) , two tightening means (3) connected to gear box (2) to provide installation of boot and door sealing pipes (9) onto flange (6) on vehicle body and it is characterized in that it comprises at least one tightening means bushing (5) connected to tightening means (3) inside gear box (2) connected to air driving component 1), at least one elastic component (20 connected to tightening means bushing (5) in order to eliminate the adversities arisen from difference in thickness of flange (6). CLAIMS

1. Present invention relates to application apparatus of sealing pipe (9) comprising air driving component (1) connected to gear box (2), two tightening means (3) connected to gear box (2) for mounting boot and door sealing pipes (9) onto vehicle body and it is characterized in that, in order to eliminate the adversities caused by differences in thickness of flange (6) of tightening means (3), and it is characterized in that it comprises,

- at least one tightening means bushing (5) connected to tightening means (3) in gear box (2) - At least one elastic component (20) connected to tightening means bushing (5).

2. Sealing pipe application apparatus according to claim 1 , and it is characterized in that it comprises;

- at least one cover component (7) connected to elastic component (20) in order to adjust the force applied onto tightening means bushing (5) by the said elastic component (20)

3. Sealing pipe application apparatus according to any one of the previous claims , and it is characterized in that it comprises,

- screw bushing (8) located onto cover component (7) for fixing cover component (7) and to adjust the pressure force applied onto elastic component (20).

4. Sealing pipe application apparatus according to any one of the previous claims , and it is characterized in that it comprises,

- at least one guide component (4) connected to tightening means (3) - at least one bushing bracket (17) located onto guide component (4).

5. Sealing pipe application apparatus according to any one of the previous claims , and it is characterized in that it comprises,

- At least one screw connection (16) connected to bushing bracket in order to locate guide component (4) onto both sides of tightening means (3) and ensure easy replacement when required.

6. Sealing pipe application apparatus according to any one of the previous claims , and it is characterized in that it comprises,

APPARATUS FOR IMPLEMENTING SEALING PIPE Field of the Art

Present invention relates to apparatus used for installing sealing pipes of U-channel type door and boot onto flanges on car frame. The invention is particularly related to a new mounting apparatus produced in order to balance likely variations in flange thicknesses of sealing pipes produced to install onto car body. Background of the Art

Sealing pipes are located onto door and window body constituting frame of the car. Flanges are formed on door and frame of the cars. The flanges are formed on the joint points forming frame or door. While the thickness of flanges is required to be Standard, due to various reasons, differences may occur in flange thicknesses. The flange thicknesses cause some problems in installation of sealing pipes. The sealing pipes should be easy to mount onto flanges. Some problems are encountered particularly in connection with location of sealing pipes onto flanges. It is difficult to overcome the problems arising from faulty installation. Sealing pipes are mounted onto flanges after formation of car frame in production line. Some difficulties are encountered during installation of sealing pipes. In general, air driven installation apparatus are used. Various mounting apparatus have been developed in mounting apparatus used in production to meet the probable variations in flange thicknesses. Although the developed mounting apparatus can meet the probable thickness changes, they do not provide easy to install. It is needed to develop a new sealing pipe implementation apparatus ensuring installation free of problems during production. The fixed roller system proposed in patent application no. GB235662 does not provide such flexibility. In the international patent application no. WD0018601 , the inventor tried to propose a pivot system. Pivot system loses contact surface with axial cycling of the roller. The solution developed in patent application no. US6311378 is not practical and restricts the movement of the mounting component. In general, a guide reel is located under the roller in order to protect car frame. Owing to fixed axial guide reel, no difficulties are encountered in implementation to flanges in different profiles. The position is adjustable due to fixed condition. When it is required to replace it at certain times, no high maintenance costs are incurred. The

cost of guide reel is high and it should be changed. The mounting apparatus should also be changed. And it increases the maintenance cost.

Purpose of the Invention

Considering the background of the related art, the purpose of the present invention is to develop a new mounting apparatus eliminating the problems that might occur during installation of sealing pipes onto flanges on the car frame.

Another purpose of the invention is to provide balance of probable variations in thickness of the flange on the car frame.

Other purpose of the invention is to tolerate variations in thickness of the flange on the car frame by means of spring force to be applied onto compression driving bushing.

Another purpose of the invention is to save from production and mounting times during installation of sealing pipes by means of new installation apparatus formed without impacts from thickness of flange on car frame in automotive production. Other purpose of the invention is to gain earning from labor costs by use of the mounting apparatus.

Another purpose of the invention is to prevent any damage to car frame by means of the polyamide based guiding component.

Another purpose of the present invention is to provide easy lower and upper positioning of guiding component onto compression means and also provide easy replacement.

In order to achieve the said purposes, a gear box connected to air driving component, two compression means connected to gear box, at least one tightening means bushing connected to tightening means, at least one elastic component connected to tightening bushing have been formed. Elastic component balances the variations in thickness of flange and pressure force applied to bushing via tightening means. Thus, the force applied by elastic component and changes in thickness of flange are controlled. A guiding component is formed with tightening means.

Tightening means enable installation of sealing pipes without damage to car frames. Guiding component is located on both sides of tightening means by use of screw connection. In case of worn of guiding components by time, the damaged component

can be replaced, which provides saving in maintenance costs and no need to replace the complete mounting apparatus.

In a preferred application of the invention, there is at least one tightening means bushing connected to tightening mean, and at least one elastic component connected to tightening means bushing inside the gear box in order to eliminate the negative consequences caused in variations in thickness of flange.

A preferred application of the invention contains at least one cover component connected to the said elastic component in order to adjust the force applied onto tightening mean bushing by elastic component. A preferred application of the invention contains a screw bushing located on the cover component to fix the cover component and to adjust the tightening force applied on elastic component.

A preferred application of the invention contains at least one guiding component connected to tightening means, at least one bushing bracket onto which guide component is located.

A preferred application of the invention comprises at least one screw connection connected to bushing bracket in order to locate the guide component on both sides of tightening means and to enable easy replacement thereof whenever required.

In a preferred application of the invention, tightening means is reels driven in opposite directions by hydraulic driving component.

In a preferred application of the invention, guide component is preferably guide reel made of polyamide basis. In a preferred application of the invention, tightening means bushing is preferably bushing.

In a preferred application of the invention, the embodiment comprises gears driving tightening means inside the gear box connected to air driving component. Tightening means connected to gears, at least one tightening means bushing connected to tightening means, at least one elastic component connected to tightening means bushing, a cover component located onto screw plug connected to elastic component. In a preferred application of the invention, elastic component is preferably spring.

Detailed Description of the Invention

Apparatus for applying sealing pipes are used to mount door and boot sealing pipes (9) onto flanges (6) on the car body. A new apparatus has been developed in order to prevent influence of thickness of flanges (6) caused by sealing pipes application apparatus. Two tightening means (3) connected to motion transmission means (21 ) inside gear box (2) connected to air driving component are formed Tightening means bushing (5) is located on one of the tightening means (3). Elastic component (20) connected to tightening means bushing (5), cover component (7) connected to elastic component (20) have been formed. Cover component (7) is located on screw bushing (8). Tightening force of elastic component (20) is adjusted by means of surrounding cover component (7) via screw bushing (8).

A Guide component (4) is formed under tightening means (3). Guide component (4) is fixed on bushing bracket (17) by means of screw connection (16). Thus, it is possible to adjust the level of guide component (4) under or above tightening means (3). Guide component (4) is not worn by time. Bushing bracket (17) and guide component (4) are easy to replace. Maintenance costs are decreased. Polyamide basis reel is used as guide component (4). Damage to vehicle body is prevented.

Adjustment of sealing pipes (9) according to different locations during mounting is provided.

Figure 1 shows a perspective drawing indicating an indicative application of the invention. Pressing onto sealing pipe (9) fitted onto flange (6) provides positioning. Two tightening means (3) rotate in opposite directions to each other in parallel axis and produce pressure onto side walls on sealing pipe (9). Tightening means (3) rotates around its axis, travels along flange (6) and applies pressure. Figure 2 shows cross-sectional drawing of door sealing pipe (9) before mounting in an indicative application of the invention. Sealing pipe (9) comprising tightening bolt (11), sealing bolt (12), metal support (10), cosmetic bolt (13) and sponge (14) are located on flange (6). Figure 3 shows sectional drawing indicating door sealing pipe (9) after mounting in a preferred application of the invention. Sealing pipe (9) is located onto flange (6) by means of applying pressure onto tightening bolts (11 ) on the flange (6). Figure 4 shows drawing indicating application of sealing pipe (9) via mounting apparatus and tightening means (3). Sealing pipe (9) is located onto flange (6) by tightening means (3) applied onto sealing pipe (9) by tightening means. Figure 5 shows cross-sectional drawing indicating boot sealing pipe before mounting in a preferred application of the invention. The position of boot sealing pipe (9) on flange (6) before mounting is shown. Figure 6 shows the cross-sectional drawing indicating boot sealing pipe (9) after mounting in a preferred application of the invention. Sealing pipe (9) fixed onto flange (6) has different structure from door sealing pipe (9). Clips tightening area (14) supported with metal support (10) tightening bolts (11) have been compressed in a manner to provide required friction on flange (6). Sealing bolt (11) prevents probable water inlets that might come from flange. Sponge (15) sealing part fills the space between door and body. Cosmetic bolt (13) covers inner trim around door area.

Figure 7 shows cross-sectional drawing indicating position of tightening means (3) in mounting apparatus used for boot sealing pipe (9) in a preferred application of the invention. Tightening means (3) rotates around their axis and compresses clips tightening area (14). Figure 8 shows the drawing indicating appearance of a preferred application of the invention from lower view. Adaptive adaptor (19) connected to Air driving component (1) comprises gear box (2) connected to adaptive

adaptor (19). Two tightening means (3) are formed by means of connection to gear box (2). Guide component (4) is located by means of connection to tightening means (3). Guide component (4) is fixed with bushing bracket (17) and screw connection (16). Position of screw connection (16) and guide component (4) is adjusted as requested.

Figures 9, 10 and 11 show detailed drawing of gear box (2) in a preferred application of the invention. Motion transmission means (21 ) connected to gears (18) and tightening means (3) are formed inside gear box (2). Tightening means bushing (5) connected to one of the tightening means (3) is located. The driving from air driving component (1) is conveyed to tightening means (3) through gears (18). Tightening means bushing (5) is preferably bearing.

Figure 12 shows detailed drawing of elastic component (20) and cover component (7) in a preferred application of the invention. While mounting apparatus onto door sealing pipe (9), location in the clips tightening area (14) in U-shape is made in a manner sponge (15) falls on tightening means (3) and tightening means (3) on cosmetic bolt (13). On the other side, while applying onto boot sealing pipe (9), tightening means will be mounted from flat side and cosmetic bolt side (13). While tightening means (3) provides compression onto clips tightening area (14), elastic component (20) pressure is applied onto tightening means bushing (5) at the same time. Elastic component (20) compensates the changes in flange (6) thickness. Tightening means (3) are opened and closed via pressure force applied to tightening means by elastic component. It eliminates the adversities caused by such changes in thickness of flange (6).

Present invention cannot be limited to the representative applications given in this section. Based on the main components of extent of protection stated in the claims, alternative embodiments that might be done by skilled person in the art shall mean violation of the invention.
