Abstract:
Time to start defrosting a plurality of cooling/heating devices each having a refrigerating cycle installed in a store is controlled so that the power consumed by the devices does not exceed the maximum value of contract power. In a single store in which a plurality of cooling/heating devices each having a refrigerating cycle using a compressor, a condenser, a decompressor, and an evaporator are installed, an apparatus for managing operation of freezing machines, the apparatus controlling defrosting of the evaporators at each of the plurality of refrigerating cycles, determines the total power consumption at pull-down estimated from the power consumption required for pull-down of the cooling/heating devices at defrosting start time or defrosting end time and after defrosting at each of the plurality of refrigerating cycles and the power consumption of the store estimated at each predetermined time including at least the power consumption of the plurality of refrigerating cycles, and changes the defrosting start time or the defrosting end time of the cooling/heating devices as appropriate such that the estimated total power does not exceed the upper limit (θA) of the power consumption set in advance by the store.
