Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for manufacturing corrugated board. The apparatus includes a rotatable drum (1) having a plurality of ridges formed in an outer surface thereof and extending in the axial direction of the drum. A means (3) is provided for applying a first layer (5) of paper to the outer surface of the drum, and suction means (11, 13) is provided for drawing the paper onto and between the ridges formed in the outer surface of the drum. A means (40) is provided for applying a second layer (39) of paper to the first layer (5) of paper, and a means (27) is provided for applying an adhesive between the two layers for securing the same together.
