Abstract:
The present invention forms a coil spring having desired diameter and pitch by bending a coil wire rod (30) using a first roll (32), a second roll (34) and a third roll (36), and pressing in the coiling direction the bent coil wire rod (30) using a pitch tool (90). The second roll (34) disposed in the downstream in the transfer direction of the coil wire rod (30) is configured such that the second roll can move forward and backward in the coiling direction of the coil spring and that the second roll can tilt in the direction of the rotating axis parallel to the transfer direction of the coil wire rod (30), thereby accurately forming the desired pitch.
