Abstract:
This apparatus for manufacturing magnetic field pole magnets which cleaves a plate shaped magnet is provided with: a pair of clamps as two sandwiching means for sandwiching both sides of a magnet in the longitudinal direction thereof from the thickness direction thereof, at a face to be cleaved that extends in the width direction of the magnet; and a wedging means as a separation load applying means for applying a separation load to the two sandwiching means such that the two sandwiching means will move in directions away from each other while sandwiching the magnet, and cleaving the magnet.
