Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing a pigtail for a coil spring, which is capable of very quickly and easily manufacturing the pigtail portions of all types of pigtail coil springs by using a single apparatus, regardless of the diameter and pitch angle of the coil spring, the diameter of the pigtail portion, the coiling direction of the coil spring, the position of the opposite end of the coil spring material, etc. The apparatus for manufacturing a pigtail for a coil spring comprises: a base frame having a lead angle servo motor installed thereon at an opposite end of a pigtail; a machine frame installed at one side on the upper surface of the base frame, having the bottom thereof at the opposite end of the pigtail pivotably connected to a hinge installed at a center of the upper surface of the base frame, and having a bottom thereof at the one end of the pigtail connected via gears to the lead angle servo motor; coil spring fixing means installed on the upper surface of the machine frame capable of forward-rearward and lateral sliding movement, and having an upper surface on which a coiled coil spring is mounted and then fixed; vertical moving means installed on an upper surface at the other side of the base frame; and pigtail manufacturing means installed on the upper surface of the vertical moving means capable of forward-rearward and lateral movement, and mounted on the coil spring fixing means, for clamping the one end of the fixed coil spring and then manufacturing a pigtail.
