Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus for manufacturing a plate-shaped gear teeth member such that forging can be carried out in one process using enclosed type dies, plastic deformation in a circumferential direction and an axial direction of the workpiece for the plate-shaped gear teeth member is unlikely to form burrs, and the yield ratio at the time of product manufacture and the shaping accuracy of articles is improved. The manufacturing apparatus comprises an enclosed type upper die (1) and lower die (2). The lower die (2) comprises a toothed die (21) for forming teeth on the workpiece (W) for the plate-shaped gear teeth member, and movable dies (22, 22) which are disposed at both sides of the toothed die (21) in the axial direction of the workpiece (W) for the plate-shaped gear teeth member and are vertically movable relative to the toothed die (21). At the first stage, the circumferential surfaces of the axial ends of the workpiece (W) for the plate-shaped gear teeth member are restrained by the upper die (1) and the movable dies (22, 22), then, at the second stage, teeth are formed on the workpiece (W) for the plate-shaped gear teeth member by the upper die (1) and the toothed die (21).
