Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring current of a battery and a method therefor, and particularly, to an apparatus for measuring current of a battery which is configured to measure the current through a resistor provided at a relay terminal so as to not receive external noise interference, and can detect and correct the abnormal state of an internal hall sensor for current measurement, and a method therefor. The apparatus for measuring the current of a battery, according the present invention, comprising: a first main switch provided on a high potential line between a battery pack and a load; a precharge switch connected in parallel to the first main switch on the high potential line between the battery pack and the load; a second main switch provided on a low potential line between the battery pack and the load; a current measuring resistor provided between the precharge switch and the load; a current measurement unit for calculating a current value by measuring a voltage between both ends of the current measuring resistor; and a control unit for controlling the first main switch, the second main switch, and the precharge switch, and receiving the current value calculated through the current measurement unit.
