Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring fluid velocity, the apparatus measuring the fluid velocity by means of refraction of light emitted from two light sources. An apparatus for measuring fluid velocity according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a channel provided with a pathway through which fluid can flow; a first light source and a second light source positioned on any one area from among the area above or below the channel; a sensor, disposed in the area opposite to the first and second light sources with respect to the channel, for collecting the light emitted by the first and second light sources; and a velocity calculation unit for calculating the fluid velocity by means of the intensity of the light collected in the sensor.
