Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention relates to the technical field of automatically restoring a ring tone reminder in a handheld device. Disclosed are an apparatus and method for automatically restoring a ring tone reminder in a handheld device. The apparatus comprises: a receiver for receiving a volume level setting instruction and a timing time, and a processor for, where the received volume level setting instruction indicates to set a volume level lower than a pre-set volume level, setting the volume level as the indicated volume level, determining continuous time of the indicated volume level according to the received timing time, and after the continuous time reaches the timing time, adjusting the volume level to a volume level greater than the pre-set level. The technical solution of the present embodiment can avoid the case where reminders of incoming calls, short messages or other messages of a handheld device cannot be heard by a user as a result of forgetting to adjust the volume level of a handheld device to high.
