Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for automatically setting a floor ID of a hall indicator. The apparatus comprises: an elevator control panel which generates, whenever it is confirmed that ID setting of a corresponding floor is completed, a floor ID corresponding to the next order; a CAN communication unit which performs communication by interconnecting the elevator control panel and indicators installed on each floor in order of floors, and receives the floor ID; a switch unit which opens and closes a communication line for an indicator installed on a floor interconnected in the next order among the indicators of each floor; and a control unit which sets the received floor ID as ID of a corresponding floor, checks whether the set floor ID is set normally, returns ID setting completion status to the control panel, and in the ID setting completion status, controls the opening and closing of the switch unit, and proceeds to set a floor ID with the next floor indicator. Accordingly, the present invention can automatically set a floor ID in order from the top floor indicator to the lowest floor while checking the floor ID setting one by one.
