Abstract:
An apparatus and a method capable of completely cleaning a chamber of a low-pressure foaming device by completely removing from the chamber macromolecular substances of polyurethane remaining in the interior thereof; the cleaning apparatus characterized by comprising an auxiliary tank for storing a water-soluble cleaning agent therein, a heater for heating up to around 60°-85 °C the water-soluble cleaning agent supplied from the auxiliary tank thereto, a temperature sensor provided on one end of a connecting hose for transferring the heated water-soluble cleaning agent to the chamber, and adapted to sense the temperature of this cleaning agent, a pump joined to the connecting hose, and adapted to circulate the water-soluble cleaning agent to the auxiliary tank in accordance with an output signal from the temperature sensor, and a control panel provided on a lower end portion of the heater, and adapted to operate the pump and maintain the temperature of the water-soluble cleaning agent at not lower than 60 °C at all times.
