Abstract:
A apparatus and method for collecting residual blood from placenta, comprising the following steps: a just expulsed placenta is inserted in a uterus simulative bag having a soft wall, the temperature in the bag is 30 °C - 45 °C; One end of a catheter is inserted in umbilical section veins of the placenta, the other end is connected to a pumpdrainage means, by which the placenta residual blood of is drawn out from the umbilical veins; at the same time, the placenta is intermittently and locally compressed through the uterus simulative bag.
