Abstract:
The present invention provides an apparatus and a method of compensating for signal distortion of a magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) or a magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS). According to the present invention, the method for compensating for magnetic resonance spectroscopic signal distortion comprises: a first reference signal measuring step of acquiring an additional reference signal immediately after a water signal suppression RF signal is acquired; a second reference signal measuring step of acquiring an additional reference signal immediately after a first excitation RF signal is acquired; and a step of compensating for distortion of a final data signal by using the reference signal immediately after the water signal suppression RF signal is acquired and the reference signal immediately after the first excitation RF signal is acquired. The present invention can compensate for the distortion of the final signal without an additional acquisition time for a reference water signal when MRS or MRSI data is acquired.
