Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for continuously sterilizing processed meat products, the apparatus comprising: a conveyor for conveying processed meat products in one direction; a microwave treatment unit disposed above the conveyor on one side of the conveyor and including a magnetron for applying microwaves to the processed meat products conveyed in one direction; and a heating treatment unit disposed above the conveyor on one side of the conveyor so as to apply hot air to the processed meat products to which the microwaves have been applied, wherein the microwave treatment unit and the heating treatment unit are arranged in a line along the conveying direction of the processed meat products. Therefore, the present invention can reliably sterilize various foods including processed meat products in a short time so as to obtain long-term storable processed food.
