Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for controlling the opening/shutting angle of a vehicle door checker, which involve sensing the degree of proximity between a vehicle door and an external obstacle, and the speed and inclination of a vehicle, and automatically control the door opening/shutting angle in accordance with the sensed value, to thereby improve user convenience and not only prevent the vehicle door from being damaged by another vehicle, but also prevent an adjacent vehicle from being damaged by the contact of the vehicle door. Further, the apparatus and method of the present invention enable a driver or a passenger to easily open/shut the door of the vehicle parked on a slope with less force.
