Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for controlling an elevator emergency operation, the apparatus comprising: a switch unit for selectively supplying power or emergency power according to the control of a superordinate controller; an inverter for receiving an operation command of the superordinate controller and power type information and operation-controlling a motor according to the command; a winding machine for moving, upward or downward, a car fixed to one end of a wire, while rotating according to the operation of the motor; and a balance weight coupled to the other end of the wire to balance out the car, wherein the superordinate controller transmits, to the inverter, a separate torque boost value and time command, that are differentiated, during a normal operation in which power is supplied and an emergency operation in which emergency power is supplied, so that the car is driven at lower torque during the emergency operation.
