Abstract:
The present invention relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). An operation method of a receiver in a communication system comprises the steps of: receiving an encoded bit string corresponding to message bits and first cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits; obtaining a codeword through a traceback of at least a part of the encoded bit string; generating second CRC bits by performing a CRC encoding of the obtained codeword; and performing a decoding on the basis of at least a part of the second CRC bits.
