Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and method for driving home appliances. The apparatus for driving home appliances comprises: a voice receiving unit for receiving the voice of a user; a noise removing unit for removing noises from the received user voice; a voice recognition unit for recognizing the user voice from which noises are removed; a control unit for switching from a sleep mode to a start standby mode if the recognized user voice includes a voice command for entering a start standby mode, and controlling the home appliances to start its operation if the user voice is received and recognized in the start standby mode and the recognized user voice includes a voice command for starting an operation of the home appliances; and a driving unit for switching the home appliances to a relevant mode or operating the home appliances by the control of the control unit.
