Abstract:

Provided are an apparatus and a method for fluid mixing at high mixing efficiency, and enabling removal of a clogging foreign material in a simple manner. To a liquid flowing through a pipe (1), another liquid, powdery material or the like is added through a pipe (2), and the resulting mixture is agitated by passage through a plurality of partly-opened ball valves (3A-3C). The respective ball valves (3A-3C) are arranged with an angle difference θ of the phase around the center axis. The apparatus enables efficient mixing without use of a complicated static mixer. Further, when a foreign material clogs the apparatus, the caught foreign material can be released by opening fully the valve.
