Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for implementing a dual stack mobile node to
roam into an IPv4 network. The apparatus mainly comprises a FHA (foreign home agent).
The method mainly comprises the steps as fellows: a MN (mobile nodes) obtains
its THOA (temp IPv4 address) which is allocated by the FHA, and registers its IPv4
CoA with the FHA; the FHA transmits packets between the MN and the CN (communication) or
HA (home agent) according to the Ipv4 CoA that has been allocated to the MN and registered
with the FHA. In accordance with the method, a route scheme can be implemented for
a dual stack mobile node roaming from an Ipv6 network into an IPv4 network.
