Abstract:
Each of a pair of film substrates (1a, 6a) has a plurality of effective regions
(E) continuously arranged along a length direction for forming display cells
and ineffective regions (I) arranged between the effective regions (E). A liquid
crystal display element manufacturing apparatus is provided for manufacturing
a liquid crystal display element by bonding the pair of film substrates so that
the effective regions (E) of the film substrates face each other. The manufacturing
apparatus is provided with a substrate bonding section (B) for bonding the pair
of film substrates (1a, 6a) at a prescribed position, and a substrate arranging
section (D) which bends each ineffective region (I) to the pair of film substrates
(1a, 6a) bonded by the substrate bonding section (B) and arranges each effective
region (E) to be kept in planar state by folding the pair of film substrates (1a,
6a).
