Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for manufacturing tires, the apparatus comprising: a base mold having a ring-shaped cross section; a pair of elastic body working molds which are provided to be spaced apart from each other outside of the base mold, and moved to be spaced apart from or to be in close proximity to each other; an elastic body which is connected between the pair of elastic body working molds to form recesses of a tire; a pair of support molds for supporting a casing member for the tire and which are mounted to be moveable at an outer side of each of the elastic body working molds, respectively; first and second driving units for reciprocating the pair of elastic body working molds and the pair of support molds; and a control unit for controlling the first and second driving units. Accordingly, the tire can easily be separated by an operation of the support molds by highly pushing up the finished tire together with an upper end of the base mold.
