Abstract:
An apparatus and method for measuring a rotational speed of a rotary shaft based on a variable density sinusoidal fringe. The apparatus comprises a variable density sinusoidal fringe sensor (5), a high-speed image collection module (3), a data transmission module (2), an image processing software module and a computer (1). The method comprises the following steps: attaching a variable density sinusoidal fringe sensor (5) to the circumferential surface of a rotary shaft (6) to be measured; a high-speed image collection module (3) performing continuous imaging and recording of a variable density fringe; a data transmission module (3) transmitting fringe images to a computer (1); and an image processing software module performing Fourier transform on fringe signals at a pixel position of the same line in each frame of the image and using a peak frequency correction method to accurately correct the peak frequency so as to obtain accurate fringe density information, then obtaining a time domain curve of the rotational angular speed of the rotary shaft attached with the fringe, and then calculating a rotational speed signal of the rotary shaft by means of the rotational angular speed and a sampling frequency of a camera.
