Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and method for molding a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material, and a mold produced by same. According to the present invention, the apparatus for molding a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material comprises a plurality of wind-up reels on which a plurality of tape-type fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials are wound; transporting means for drawing the plurality of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials wound on the wind-up reels so as to unwind the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials from the wind-up reels; and twisting means for twisting at least one of the plurality of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials being transported by the transporting means to twist and tie up the plurality of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials. According to the present invention, tape-type fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials are twisted in various ways to thus improve the arrangement of reinforcing fibers in the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials, thereby achieving maximized effects of reinforcing physical properties by means of reinforcing fibers.
