Abstract:
The disclosure provides an apparatus, method, device and medium for patching embedding table on the fly for a new categorical feature in deep learning. The method includes: receiving a categorical feature in a deep learning model; determining if the received categorical feature is a new categorical feature; generating an embedding vector for the received categorical feature when the received categorical feature is determined as a new categorical feature; and providing the generated embedding vector of the new categorical feature for processing in the deep learning model.
