Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for predicting a drive torque of a vehicle compressor. According to the present invention, the apparatus for predicting a drive torque of a vehicle compressor comprises: an input unit that receives, as inputs from a differential pressure detection sensor, pressures respectively measured in a first differential pressure detection flowpath and a second differential pressure detection flowpath; a pre-treatment unit that converts a first pressure measured in the first differential pressure detection flowpath and a second pressure measured in a second differential pressure detection flowpath into units of output voltages and amplifies a difference between the converted output voltages to calculate an amplified difference of the voltages; a calculation unit that calculates a drive torque of a compressor by using a first output voltage obtained by the conversion of the pressure measured in the first differential pressure detection flowpath, the amplified difference of the voltages, and an RPM of an engine received from an engine control unit of a vehicle; and an output unit that transmits the calculated drive torque of the compressor to the engine control unit. As such, according to the present invention, by extending the range of an output voltage signal through a circuit configuration for amplifying the output voltage signal, a precise drive torque can be calculated without separate high-performance measurement and calculation equipment.
