Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for replacing a roll of a rolling mill. The apparatus for replacing a roll of a rolling mill according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a rail disposed in parallel to an axial line of the roll of the rolling mill; an extraction device binding and extracting a used roll from the rolling mill while moving back and forth along the rail; a feeding device binding a new roll and inserting the new roll into the rolling mill while moving back and forth along the rail; and a moving device supporting the rail and moving the rail so that the extraction device or the feeding device can be disposed in a position for replacing the roll.
