Abstract:
A terminal interface equipment and a method for performing the report and the
corresponding analysis to the error of the data packet based on the Ipsec protocol
group in an communication network. Concretely, the reservation field of the
ICMP security failure message is used to indicate the second level error type
of the failure tunnel data packet. Using the technical scheme of the invention
can realize the detailed report for the error type of the failure tunnel data packet
and the accurate location of the error existed in the data packet at the source
terminal interface equipment, and it is advantageous to eliminate the error.
