Abstract:
The present invention pertains to an apparatus and a method for treating ship exhaust gas in combination with ballast water. When exhaust gas produced from the combustion of fuel oils in a ship are discharged in the form of ultra-fine exhaust gas bubbles into water, microorganisms are killed by hydroxyl groups (OH-) generated by the decomposition of water molecules, and carbon dioxide (CO₂) contained in the exhaust gas is combined into calcium hydrogen carbonate (Ca(HCO3)2) or magnesium hydrogen carbonate (Mg(HCO3)2) and the like, and dissolved into the water.
