This invention relates to an apparatus for picking up ex¬ crements ( droppings ) of for example dogs ± ~ f the form of a package.
The well known apparatusses for the purpose of disposing 5 the droppings of dogs , each have their own difficulties in the way in which they must be handled and in their con¬ struction ; they are clumsy in use and the construction is too complicated,,
In the construction of the apparatus of the invention ; -JO to overcome the disadvantages of known apparatuses in the state of the artj the emphasis has been laid more on the hygienic functioning of human beings than on the hygienic functioning of animals.
In fact it is far better to initiate a knew hygienic appa— Λ e ratus for dog-lovers by using their own hygienic behaviour because the use of the apparatus. (, by._a. man or bμ a woman implies the same way doing after using a toils. : namely the unrolling of toilet tisue paper. This action is the basis thought for the construction of the apparatus of the _ invention.
For this purpose the apparatus of the invention implies means for containing a roll of toilet-paper or other foli- material. The first action after noting the fact that the apparatus must be used ( the droppings on the street are ς there ) is the unrolling of the necessary amount of paper from the reel om the apparatus • This eared off piece

of paper ( could be a handkerchief too e.g. ) has to be put on and over the droppings , wherby in making use of the appa ratus most of the evil-smelling odour is shielded from the user . The reluctance for using the apparatus diminishes. The apparatus makes a package of the droppings in the folie- material by placing the apparatus over the covered droppings in a open position ; by means of a grabbing movement of two relating to each other movable lips under the influence of a spring . The package in the closed apparatus can be easily disposed of in an appropriate place.
The invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings Fig 1 The closed apparatus standing on its side Fig 2 The open apparatus
The grabs 1 and 2 form a very wide opening when the projecte parts 7 and 8 are moved to one another over the hinge-joint
The spring 3 keeps the grabs closed when the apparatus is in a used position ( or in a rest position ) . On one of the crabs 1 is fixed a reel 9 on a hooked element. The breadth of the crabber ( perpenducular direction in relation to the drawing ) may be in reference to the avai¬ lable rolls with folie-material and may be between 10 and 25 centimeter In using the crabber as shown in Fig 2 the opening between the crabs is wide and the crabs will close bij releasing the parts 7 a 8 under influence of spring 3 ; after which the packaged dogdroppings will be inside the apparatus.
