Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an apparatus and a process for producing a catalyst, whereby it becomes possible to supply a prepared aqueous mixed solution to a drying machine smoothly; and a process for producing an unsaturated acid or an unsaturated nitrile, in which the catalyst is used. This apparatus for producing a catalyst comprises a vessel (110) which is so adapted that an aqueous mixed solution containing a Mo compound, a V compound and a Nb compound can be prepared therein, a drying machine (120) which is so adapted as to spray and dry the aqueous mixed solution, and a pipe (L10) which connects the vessel (110) to the drying machine (120) so that the aqueous mixed solution can be supplied from the vessel (110) to the drying machine (120), wherein a heating machine which is so adapted as to heat the aqueous mixed solution is provided in the vessel (110) and/or the pipe (L10) and a filtering device (140) which is so adapted as to filter the aqueous mixed solution is provided in the pipe (L10).
