Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and a method capable of appropriately producing organic matter by using synthetic gas from a waste incinerating furnace. An apparatus 1 for producing organic matter from waste comprises a synthetic gas producing furnace 11, a fermenting device 13, and a nutrient supplying part 12. The synthetic gas producing furnace 11 produces synthetic gas by partially oxidizing waste. The fermenting device 13 includes microorganisms that produce organic matter from the synthetic gas. The nutrient supplying part 12 provides solid or liquid nutrients to the fermenting device 13 when the amount of synthetic gas supplied to the fermenting device 13 is insufficient.
