Abstract:
The invention relates to medical technology, in particular to an apparatus for purifying biological fluids from endotoxins and exotoxins of varying molecular mass, and is intended for use in medicine for removing toxins and xenobiotics from an organism. The proposed apparatus for purifying a biological fluid comprises a deposition chamber which constitutes at least two containers which are interconnected such that the biological fluid can flow from one container into the other, said containers primarily being of cylindrical or spherical shape with cavities for accumulating an absorbed solid phase, wherein the containers are arranged vertically one above the other, and the internal walls of the deposition chamber can have gravitational, magnetic or electrostatic deposition or complex deposition comprising all types of deposition enumerated. The deposition chamber is a container for sorbing toxins and xenobiotics from a biological fluid. The technical result consists in achieving the most effective purifying of a biological fluid from endotoxins and exotoxins of varying molecular mass by the use of special sorbents of varying character and providing for the option of gravitational, magnetic and electrostatic deposition of the sorbent.
