Title:
APPARATUS FOR RECOVERING CO2 AND METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/113364
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The apparatus (10A) for recovering CO2 according to the example 1 is a CO2 recovery apparatus including a CO2 absorption tower in which a CO2-containing discharge gas is brought into contact with a CO2-absorbing liquid (12) to remove the CO2 from the discharge gas and a regeneration tower (15) in which the CO2 contained in the rich solution (14) resulting from CO2 absorption within the CO2 absorption tower is stripped. The apparatus includes first to fourth compressors (29-1 to 29-4) which compress the CO2 gas (16) discharged from the regeneration tower (15), and further includes a dehydration tower (33) in which the CO2 gas (16) is brought into contact with a dehydrating agent (32) to remove the water contained in the CO2 gas (16), a burner/remover (41) which removes the dehydrating agent (32) that has come into the CO2 gas (16) in the dehydration tower (33), and a heat exchanger (42) which performs heat exchange between the CO2 gas (16) discharged from the third compressor (29-3) and the CO2 gas (16) discharged from the dehydration tower (33).
