Abstract:
A method for activating various muscles of eye, a simple and inexpensive apparatus for recovering eyesight and a method for displaying its video image. Videos corresponding to the left and right eyes are displayed alternately on the screen of an electronic display (2) and when the videos are viewed through spectacles (4) opening&sol closing in synchronism with the display, a convergence angle and parallax are generated to produce a stereoscopic video. A stereoscopic video display where an observer recognizes a stereoscopic video by focusing the left and right eyes to these videos is utilized. A stereoscopic video (10a) is displayed in the vicinity of the spectacles (4) and then it is moved to withdraw gradually from the spectacles (4). A movement control section (10) for moving a remote stereoscopic video (10b) in the reverse direction to approach the spectacles (4), and a repetition control section (23) for repeating withdrawal&sol approach are also provided. A method of activating various muscles of lyes when the observer views the stereoscopic videos (10a, 10b) on the screen while focusing the eyes constantly thereat through the spectacles (4) to stimulate ciliary body and oculomotor muscle around the eye of the observer, a device for recovering eyesight, and a method of displaying its stereoscopic video.
