Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus for roasting a lithium ion battery waste, in which the efficiency of a heating treatment can be improved and the rate of recovery of a valuable metal can be improved. One example of the apparatus for roasting a lithium ion battery waste according to the present invention is equipped with: a conveyance mechanism (4) which is equipped with such a tubular body (41) that one end thereof serves as a receiving port (41a) and the other end thereof serves as a discharge port (41b) and the inside thereof is made in a reductive atmosphere or a low-oxygen atmosphere, and which is so configured that a lithium ion battery waste received from the receiving port (41a) can be conveyed through the tubular body (41) toward the discharge port (41b) and can be discharged from the discharge port (41b); a heating mechanism (5) which is so configured that an outer wall of the tubular body (41) can be heated in order to rise the internal temperature of the tubular body (41) and can separately control the heating temperatures at different positions in the outer wall in the conveyance direction of the conveyance mechanism (4); and a controller (21) which can control the heating temperature of the outer wall by the heating mechanism (5) in response to the conveyance speed of the conveyance mechanism (4) so that the temperature-rising rate of the lithium ion battery waste conveyed in the tubular body can be adjusted to a predetermined temperature-rising rate.
