The invention relates to an apparatus for screening of material, which comprises at least a chamber for the material to be screened, screening means for screening of the material in the chamber by operating the screening means with auxiliary powered actuator means, in order to drop screened substance through the screening means by gravity, and means provided in connection with the screening means in order to keep the same clean.
At present there is on the market the type of screening bucket for screening of material as described above with a trade name REMU, the bucket being coupled at an end of a boom setup coupled with a work machine, such as wheel loader, excavator, tractor and/or like. With reference to the implementation shown without a back wall in figure 1, a screening bucket like this consists of a frame forming the screening chamber, whereby the screening means being provided at a bottom of the bucket comprise a screening disk assembly, which is formed of two or more axles side by side when viewed in the first direction, whereby the axles are provided with screening disks that are mutually parallel and overlapping one another, when viewed in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The screening disk axles are arranged to rotate in one direction and/or in opposite directions around longitudinal axis thereof in order to carry out the screening. The means keeping clean the screening means comprise a comb assembly extending, when viewed in the second direction, between the successive screening disks. The body of the comb assembly is attached fixedly by a bolt joint in the frame of the screening bucket. The screening bucket described above has gained a steady foothold on the market thanks to its simplicity and reliability. In practice, however, particularly biodegradable plastic bags and packages cause very often clogging problems of the screening bucket, when being used e.g. in a dumping area. This requires interrupting of the operation and manual cleaning of the comb assembly keeping clean the screening disks, which slows down and makes it remarkably more difficult to carry out the screening process.
It is an aim of the apparatus for screening of material according to the present invention to achieve a decisive improvement in the problems explained above and thus to raise essentially the level of prior art. In order to carry out this aim, the apparatus for screening of material according to the invention is mainly characterized by that it comprises a cleaning device that is movable in connection with the screening means by means of an auxiliary powered first actuator means assembly from an operational position to a standby position and vice versa in order to enable in the stand-by position of the cleaning device cleaning of the means keeping clean the screening means .
As the most important advantages of the screening apparatus according to the present invention are simplicity and efficiency of the constructions included therein as well as of its use, thanks to which it is possible to carry out a screening process at any given time without interruptions significantly longer than at present thanks to the fact that the screening means stay clean better. The screening apparatus according to the invention can be integrated in an auxiliary frame, being coupled jointedly with a frame of a screening bucket of an ordinary type as such, whereby a cleaning assembly, being arranged as an advantageous embodiment in connection therewith, makes furthermore possible mechanical cleaning of the means keeping clean the screening means, such as a comb assembly, e.g. automatically or performed by the person operating the work machine by a control unit in the cabin at times that are most suitable for him/her. A crucial advantage of the screening apparatus according to the invention is thus also a significant improvement in work productivity thanks to an improvement of efficiency of the screening process.
Other advantageous embodiments of the screening apparatus according to the invention have been presented in the dependent claims related thereto.

in figure 7 is shown the entirety according to figures 5 and 6, in which the cleaning device is in the position according to figure 4.
The invention relates to an apparatus for screening of material, which comprises at least a chamber 1 for the material to be screened, screening means 2 for screening of the material in the chamber by operating the screening means with auxiliary powered actuator means, in order to drop screened substance through the screening means by gravity, and means 3a provided in connection with the screening means 2 in order to keep the same clean. A screening apparatus X comprises a cleaning device PL that is movable in connection with the screening means 2 by means of an auxiliary powered first actuator means assembly Tl from an operational position II to a stand-by position I and vice versa in order to enable in the stand-by position I of the cleaning device cleaning of the means 3a keeping clean the screening means 2.
An apparatus for screening of material according to the invention is as an advantageous embodiment a screening bucket X; Xl or like, being provided at an end of a boom setup coupled with a work machine TY, such as a wheel loader, excavator, tractor and/or like, the bucket comprising a frame R forming the screening chamber 1, whereby the screening means 2 being provided at a bottom of the bucket comprise a screening disk assembly 2a, consisting of two or more axles 2a side by side, when viewed in a first direction s as shown in figure 2a, whereby the axles are provided with screening disks 2b that are mutually parallel and overlapping one another, when viewed e.g. with reference to figure 1 in a second direction p perpendicular to the first direction. The screening disk axles 2a, 2b are arranged to rotate w in one direction and/or in opposite directions around a longitudinal axis ps thereof, in order to carry out screening. The means 3a keeping clean the screening means 2 comprise e.g. on the principle shown in figure 2 a comb assembly 3a; 3a' or like extending, when viewed in the second direction p, between the successive screening disks 2b. The cleaning device PL is provided with an auxiliary frame AR, being coupled with the frame R of the screening apparatus X movably, such as jointedly N, the auxiliary frame being provided at least with the means 3a for keeping clean the screening means 2. Correspondingly as shown in figure 2 in order to enable quick-release principle, the screening bucket Xl has an open locking hook Nl that is placed on opposite side with respect to the articulation point N2 coupling the bucket with the work machine's boom setup.
Furthermore as an advantageous embodiment particularly with reference to figures 4 and 7, the cleaning device PL comprises a cleaning assembly 3b for cleaning of the means 3a keeping clean the screening means 2, such as the comb assembly 3a' .
The cleaning assembly 3b comprises furthermore as an advantageous embodiment a cleaning mechanism 3bl that cleans mechanically the means 3a keeping clean the screening means 2 in the stand-by position I by means of an auxiliary powered second actuator means assembly T2, which in order to keep clean the screening means 2 is arranged advantageously by moving t a cleaning part or parts belonging to the cleaning mechanism 3bl and/or the said means 3a with respect to each other.
Particularly as shown in figures 2-4 and 7, the means 3a keeping clean the screening means 2 are coupled as a further advantageous embodiment immovably with the frame R, the cleaning parts of the cleaning mechanism 3bl being arranged movable t with respect to the said means 3a.

In is clear that the invention is not limited to the embodiments shown or described above, bu instead it can be modified according to requirements of a screening process at any given time in the first place by using e.g. screening disks, the shapes of which differ from the same of the disks shown in the appended drawings. It is also clear that e.g. in a screening bucket implementation it is possible to use a deviating amount of screening disk axles than shown in figures 1-3 and/or to place the same more or less in the same line. Furthermore it is naturally possible to exploit in connection with the screening apparatus e.g. nozzle assemblies that clean the screening disks water and/or air actuatedly and, which can be operated furthermore e.g. also in the operational position of the cleaning device. On the other hand it is possible to couple automation with the operation of the cleaning device in a way that e.g. by observing a load of the screening disk axles, moving of the cleaning device to the stand- by position is initiated by automatically operated actuator means assemblies for cleaning thereof etc. The cleaning mechanism can also be carried out so that a cleaning part of the cleaning mechanism is e.g. a fixed perforation plate or beam, through which the means keeping clean the screening means is drawn backwards in order to clean the same.
