Title:
APPARATUS FOR SENDING EARTH AND SAND UNDER PRESSURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1987/007317
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An apparatus for sending earth and sand under pressure, consisting of an outer cylinder (16), an inner cylinder (19) adapted to be moved by a first piston (21), which is slidably provided in the outer cylinder (16), in such a manner that an open end portion (19a) thereof facing the interior of an earth and sand tank (10) is displaced toward and away from an inlet (11a) of a force feed pipe (11), and a piston rod (20) for driving a third piston (23) provided slidably in the inner cylinder (19) and used to force-feed the earth and sand. The first piston (21) provided in the outer cylinder (16) is made annular, and an end portion (20b) of the piston rod (20) is extended through an end portion (19b) of the inner cylinder (19) and first annular piston (21). A second piston (22) provided at the same end portion (20b) is provided slidably in the outer cylinder (16). Thus, a first liquid pressure chamber (24) for moving the first piston in the extending direction of the inner cylinder is formed between the first and second pistons, a second pressure liquid chamber (25) for moving the second piston in the extending direction of the piston rod between the second piston and an end plate (16b) of the outer cylinder, and a third liquid pressure chamber (26) for moving the first and second pistons in the contracting direction of the inner cylinder and piston rod on the side of an inner end plate (16a) of the first piston.
