Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for separating a solvent from a metallocene catalyst-based solution polymerization step of polyolefin series, and a method therefor, and relates to: an apparatus for separating a solvent from a metallocene catalyst-based solution polymerization step of polyolefin series, the apparatus removing a solvent from a reaction mixture after a polymerization reaction in the solution step for polymerizing a polyolefin-based high molecular weight polymer by using a metallocene catalyst, wherein the solvent and a volatile matter in the reaction mixture are firstly removed by means of a flash drum, and the remaining solvent and volatile matter in the reaction mixture after the first solvent removal are secondly removed under a high-vacuum environment by using a thin film evaporator; and a method therefor. The polymer prepared through the step is an eco-friendly product having a volatile matter content of less than or equal to 100 ppm.
