CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

[0001] This application claims priority from United States Provisional Patent Applications No. 61/795,359 filed October 15, 2012 and No. 61/850,583 filed February 19, 2013, the contents of which are incorporated in this disclosure by reference in their entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0002] This invention relates generally to sex devices, and, more specifically, to an apparatus useful for having sex with a partner.

BACKGROUND

[0003] Sex aiding devices like sex furniture and sex machines that facilitate sex are used to enhance the sexual experience for people. However, the existing devices like sex chairs, bondage (BDSM) tables and benches, etc, created to aid in positioning a sex partner are not very discreet in appearance, are expensive and bulky, and are difficult to store or hide for privacy.

[0004] Such devices can only be used for a limited set of sexual positions and cannot be easily adjusted and converted to function in a variety of different ways to accommodate the different positions that various different sex devices would. For example, a sex chair cannot be converted to function as a bench, bondage table, or a vertical bondage cross. This inability to accommodate different sex positions costs users more money because they need to buy a different device to accommodate each different sex position. It also compromises a user's privacy and takes up more space.

[0005] Additionally, such sex aiding devices do not offer the option of length and vertical adjustments to be individualized to fit people with different body sizes and not automated to provide realistic sexual movement with a sex doll or a paralyzed person.

[0006] Accordingly, there is a need for an apparatus for sexual activities that can be converted to function in a variety of different ways to accommodate various sexual positions that the existing sex furniture devices do, thus increasing the number of positions and uses, and also facilitating sex with a sex doll or a paralyzed person by providing realistic sexual movement and that is also discreet in appearance, easily stored away and easily adjustable to fit individuals of different dimensions or body sizes.

SUMMARY

[0007] The invention satisfies this need by providing an apparatus useful for having sex with a partner, including a sex doll or paralyzed person. The apparatus comprises a foldable frame having a front side and a rear side, the frame adapted to collapse for storage purposes, a removable and adjustable seat capable of being raised, lowered, inclined or declined, an adjustable backrest pivotally attached to the seat capable of being inclined or declined, wherein the frame supports both the seat and the backrest, one or more leg rests, wherein the leg rests are adjustable in an upward and downward direction, and also adjustable laterally, and one or more securing devices for securing a partner to the apparatus.

[0008] The pivotally connected seat and backrest can be adjusted in relation to each other in a variety of angles from 0 degrees (completely horizontal), 90 degrees (backrest upright with seat parallel to the ground), or completely vertical (backrest upright, and seat angled 90 degrees below vertical) to a plurality of angles in between. All the positions obtained as a result of the adjustments in the apparatus can be locked in place if needed during use. The invention can resemble an exercise machine in appearance to aid in discretion and privacy.

[0009] In another embodiment of the invention, the apparatus comprises a frame having a front side and a rear side, a seat having a front portion and a rear portion, one or more securing devices for securing a partner to the apparatus, and a motor operably attached to the seat. The seat is reciprocatably attached to the frame such that the seat is allowed to slide back and forth in a sliding motion between (i) a forward position wherein the rear portion of the seat is moved toward the front of the frame, and (ii) a rearward position wherein the front portion of the seat is moved toward the rear of the frame.

[0010] A motor can be employed to reciprocate the seat between the forward position and the rearward position. A person or sex doll secured to the seat of the apparatus would therefore move with the sliding motion of the seat, resulting in realistic sexual movement.

[0011] Preferably, the seat slides along a linear path and on a fixed track. Additionally, the seat can be inclined or declined, and adjustable in an upward and downward direction to provide support for a partner. [0012] In one version of the invention, one or more handles are attached to the frame.

[0013] In another version of the invention, one or more leg rests are attached to the frame. The leg rests are adjustable in an upward and downward direction, and laterally side-to-side as well.

[0014] Preferably, the apparatus comprises an adjustable backrest pivotally attached to the seat, wherein the frame supports both the seat and the backrest. The backrest is adjustable to be in an inclined and declined position to provide support for a partner.

[0015] Preferably, the apparatus further comprises a controller for controlling the speed and frequency of the seat's sliding motion.

[0016] In one embodiment of the invention, the motor is connected to the backrest while the seat is fixed, the motor reciprocating the backrest from the inclined position to the declined position.

[0017] The apparatus also comprises a mechanism to adjust the length of the sliding motion caused by the motor.

[0043] The bottom piece 510 can comprise a stopping mechanism (not shown), such as a cap, cover, or metal bracket. The stopping mechanism can be lined with rubber or similar resilient material on the inside to absorb impacts and to reduce sound. The seat sliding device 504 can be similar to the type used in a rowing exercise machine or a desk drawer as commonly known in the art.

[0044] The seat sliding device 504 can further comprise a pin locking mechanism (not shown) as commonly known in the art to lock the seat 108 in place when motion is not desired.

[0045] In the embodiment illustrated in Figs. 5-8, it is typical that the seat 108 slides along a linear path and on a fixed track. Alternatively, the seat 108 can be inclined or declined, and is adjustable in an upward and downward direction to provide support for different sexual positions for a partner. The seat 108 can be inclined or declined, lowered or raised and also locked in position by means commonly known in the art, including, but not limited to, using pin or screw locks 212, or pin locking mechanisms 400 in combination with bilateral holes 214 positioned in a circular or semicircular arrangement from a centered seat pivot joint 333, the holes 214 arranged along the seat-backrest mount 218, to allow the seat 108 to be adjusted to different positions at different angles as shown in Figs. 3A and 3B. The seat pivot joint 333 secures the seat 108 to the reinforcing structure 216 as the seat 108 pivots.

[0046] In a different embodiment the seat pivot joint 333 can be located on the seat-backrest mount 218 as shown in Fig. 3B. The seat 108 can also be pivotally attached to a rigid base 222 of the backrest 124. The seat 108 can be adjusted and locked into various angles, including, but not limited to, a horizontal position at 0 degrees, a vertical position at 90 degrees with the floor, and a plurality of angles in between 0 and 360 degrees when the seat 108 is rotated either towards the front 104 or towards the back 106 of the apparatus 100. The backrest pivots accordingly as the seat 108 is adjusted to the various angles.

[0047] The seat 108 can have an approximated squared, oval or C-shaped design, preferably having a cutout concaved area centered towards the anterior part to give unobstructed access to a supported person's genitals or a sex doll's genitals.

[0048] The seat 108 and backrest 124 can be removable and interchangeable with different parts, such as different shaped seats and backrests, and can be removed for storage purposes. The seat 108 and backrest 124 can be independently removable from one another, or they can be removable together as one unit, as in the case with the telescopic seat support 210.

[0049] The one or more securing devices 114 include, but are not limited to, cords, ribbons, cables, straps, etc., which are attached to the frame 102, the back of the backrest 124, the bottom of the seat 108 or leg rests 132, the handles 130, or any other part of the apparatus 100. The frame 102, backrest 124, seat 108, leg rests 132, and handles 130, or any other part of the apparatus 100 can comprise securing joints 122 for attaching the securing devices 114 to the frame 102. The securing joints 122 can comprise metal anchor rings, D rings, O rings, carabineer clips, eye bolts, pulley mechanisms, or any similar device known in the art for attachment purposes.

[0050] In one embodiment, the adjustable backrest 124, the seat 108, the handles 130, and leg rests 132 comprise securing joints 122 such as Velcro, buckles, snap on metal buttons or any similar mechanisms known in the art to allow for attaching straps, ropes or similar securing devices 114 to immobilize or attach a sex doll or a person during sexual activities including, but not limited to, bondage sex.

[0051] The securing devices 114 can be made of a material like nylon, leather, webbing cotton, or any similar material and can be lined or covered by a soft cloth or fur- like material to avoid damage to sex dolls or to avoid hurting a person. The securing devices 114 can comprise an adhesive material like Velcro or any other attachment mechanism like buckles, snap metal buttons, or similar mechanism to couple the securing devices 114 with the corresponding securing joints 122 on the adjustable backrest 124 or the seat 108, or any other part of the apparatus 100.

[0052] In one embodiment the securing devices 114 comprise a pulley system that used in conjunction with the securing joints 122 to move the leg rests 132 during acts of foreplay.

[0053] The motor 116 can be a gear reduction electric motor unit comprising an electric motor and a gear reduction unit. The motor 116 can have a frequency of 0 to 250 RPM, with a preferable range of 50 to 100 RPM. In one version the motor 116 can be located inside a sound proof box (not shown) as commonly known in the art to reduce noise.

[0054] The motor 116 reciprocates the seat 108 between the forward position 500 and the rearward position 502. The motor 116 can be attached to the frame 102 using methods commonly known in the art to secure the motor 116 in place. The user's partner, either a person or sex doll, secured to the seat 108 of the apparatus 100 therefore moves with the sliding motion of the seat 108, resulting in realistic sexual movement.

[0055] Typically, the sliding motion is achieved by connecting the motor 116 to the seat 108 by a connector 514 such that the rotational motion of the motor 116 is converted into a back and forth linear reciprocating motion applied to the seat 108. The connector 514 can also have pivotally designed joints at both ends to facilitate the conversion of the rotational motion of the motor 116 into a linear reciprocating motion according to methods commonly known in the art. The connector 514 can be rubberized at both ends to reduce noise according to methods commonly known in the art. In one version, the connector 514 can be telescopically extended according to methods commonly known in the art to allow for adjustments in the motion.

Typically the connector 514 is a bar.

[0056] In one embodiment, the motor 116 is connected to the connector 514 via a connection piece 228. The connection piece 228 can comprise means commonly known in the art for adjusting the way the rotational motion of the motor 116 is converted into the motion of the seat 108. For example, when the connector 514 is connected close to the motor 116 on the connection piece 228, the seat would move more quickly but the resulting linear motion of the seat 108 will be shorter than when the connector 514 is connected farther away from the motor 116 on the connection piece 228. Thus, the location of attachment on the connection piece 228 determines the frequency and the length of motion of the seat 108. The connection piece 228 can also comprise means for a sliding connection, such that the connector 514 can slide along the connection piece 228 and lock into place, according to methods commonly known in the art.

[0057] Preferably, the apparatus 100 comprises an adjustable backrest 124 pivotally attached to the seat 108, wherein the frame 102 supports both the seat 108 and the backrest 124. The backrest 124 is adjustable to be in an inclined 516 and declined 518 position to provide support for a partner. Fig. 5 shows an embodiment where the backrest 124 pivots between the inclined position 516 when the seat is in the rearward position 502, and the declined position 518 when the seat is in the forward position 500.

[0058] Depending on how the angle of the backrest 124 is adjusted, the inclined 516 and declined 518 positions can change during motion. If the backrest 124 is adjusted to be in a horizontal or linear plane with the seat 108, the backrest 124 will not pivot and will follow a linear path that is the same as the path of the seat 108 during motion.

[0059] The adjustable backrest 124 can be rectangular in shape and be large enough to also support a head. The adjustable backrest 124 and the seat 108 can comprise a resilient, foam-like material that is lined or covered by a vinyl or leather-like material for ease of cleaning and cosmetics, and can have a rigid base 222 of plastic or wood, like plywood or similar material. The rigid base 222 of the backrest 124 can be attached by screwing to a centered metal bar (not shown), or to two lateral metal bars 224 which are pivotally connected to the seat 108 or the seat- backrest mount 218.

[0060] In the version of the invention shown in Fig. 2, the adjustable backrest 124 is pivotally connected to the seat-backrest mount 218 by a pivoting mechanism 220 that is inserted into drilled holes or welded tubes in the seat-backrest mount 218, allowing the adjustable backrest 124 to be positioned in different angles in relation to the seat 108 and floor from 90 degrees, to 180 degrees, to an even more declined position, such as 270 degrees, where the adjustable backrest 124 almost touches the floor.

[0061] In a different embodiment shown in Fig. 3B, the adjustable backrest 124 is pivotally connected directly to the seat 108 at the rigid base 222 by the pivoting mechanism 220.

[0062] In the version of the invention shown in Fig. 5, the adjustable backrest 124 is pivotally connected to the rigid base 222 of the seat 108.

[0063] In the version of the invention shown in Fig. 2, the motor 116 is operably attached to the backrest 124 to reciprocate the backrest 124 between the inclined position 516 and the declined position 518 in a reciprocating motion while the seat 108 stays in place. Similar to the above, the frequency and the length of motion of the backrest 124 can be determined by the location of attachment of the connector 514 on the connection piece 228 of the motor 116. This is advantageous for fellatio with a partner. In this version the telescopic seat support 210 can have a different shape (not shown), where it curves towards the floor to support the seat 108 located in a lower position between or in front of each seat support stand 118, to allow the seat 108 to be positioned close to the floor, but also allowing vertical adjustments in length.

[0064] In one embodiment of the invention, the frame 102 further comprises a movable and removable backrest support 126, which also serves as a reinforcing structure for the frame 102. The movable backrest support 126 is removably attached to the frame 102 such that moving it up and down on the posterior support 202 causes the backrest 124 to incline or decline. The movable backrest support 126 can be fixed at a desired level by using pin or screw locks 212 that can be inserted into a series of bilateral holes 214 along the posterior support 202. The backrest support 126 can be made of metal or similar material.

[0065] In one version the movable backrest support 126 comprises a coupling extension 226. The coupling extension 226 can comprise a roller 128 to assist in the motion of the backrest 124 when the motor 116 is engaged. The coupling extension 226 can have different designs for different functions and be removable and interchangeable. The coupling extension 226 can also be "T" shaped, as shown in Fig. 8, and can be made with or without rollers 128, and be telescopic so that the coupling extension 226 can be lengthened to aid in positioning and securing the backrest 124 in place when motion is not desired by being secured to the backrest 124 with screws 212. In another embodiment, the rollers 128 can be fixed directly to the backrest support 126.

[0066] Preferably, the apparatus 100 further comprises a controller 700 for controlling the speed and frequency of the seat's sliding motion. The controller 700 also controls the speed and frequency of the motor 116 for controlling the backrest 124. In one version the controller 700 comprises a rheostat or potentiometer as commonly known in the art.

[0067] In one version of the invention, one or more handles 130 are attached to the frame. The handles 130 can be made of metal, plastic, or other similar material. The handles 130 can be hollow and tubular in design, and covered by a non-slippery, rubber-like material and can also be telescopically and rotatably connected to the frame 102. This can be accomplished by fitting one tube into another tube to allow for a certain degree of rotation, with a pin fixing mechanism going through the tubes inserted into a series of holes located in different places along the tubes, allowing for different positions and extensions of the handles 130. The handles 130 provide a place to grip for a user to gain more leverage for sexual activity during use and also provide a grip for use during folding and transportation of the apparatus 100.

[0068] In another version of the invention, one or more leg rests 132 are attached to the frame 102. The leg rests 132 are adjustable in an upward and downward direction and side-to- side. The leg rests 132 can be raised to support a partner in a face-up position or lowered to support a partner in a face-down position.

[0069] In one version the leg rests 132 are attached to the frame using pin or screw locks 212, and can be easily removed for storage. The leg rests 132 are also adjustable to support wider or narrower leg positions. The leg rests 132 can also be padded for comfort and to prevent damage to sex dolls. The padding can be of any type commonly known in the art for use with exercise machines or the like. The leg rests 132 can be telescopic in structure to allow for length adjustments, and such adjustments can be locked in place by the means previously described for the seat 108, including but not limited to, pin and screw locking mechanisms. The leg rests 132 can be also pivotally connected to the frame 102 allowing lateral adjustments, such adjustments capable of being locked in position by mechanisms known in the art.

[0070] The apparatus 100 is advantageous for facilitating sex with a sex doll or a paralyzed person. The drawback to currently used machines for facilitating sex is that they do not provide realistic sexual movement. This invention avoids these problems because the seat 108 is reciprocatably attached to the frame 102 such that the seat 108 is allowed to slide back and forth in a sliding motion. As the motor 116 reciprocates the seat 108, a partner secured to the seat 108 therefore moves in a sexually realistic way.

[0071] Additionally, currently used machines are not easily adjustable for use with various different sexual positions. The seat 108 and backrest 124 are easily adjustable for various sexual positions, and are also removable for easy storage. Furthermore, the apparatus 100 looks like an exercise machine, and so is low-key in appearance.

[0072] Although the present invention has been described in considerable detail with reference to certain preferred versions thereof, other versions are possible. For example, the seat 108 can be adapted to move in a circular or rocking motion, or the leg rests can be angled.

Therefore, the spirit and scope of the appended claims should not be limited to the description of the preferred versions contained herein.
