Abstract:

A detaining apparatus (5) holding an encapsulated endoscope (3) includes a control device (57) having an optical sensor (73), a control substrate (66) constituting a controller and a reset circuit, a driver substrate (68) constituting an electromagnetic driver, and an electromagnet (70). When the optical sensor (73) detects light, the controller drives to control the electromagnet (70) at a predetermined time interval so as to turn on a lead switch (14) enabling power supply in the encapsulated endoscope (3). Thus, it is possible to operate the encapsulated endoscope (3) only when observation is required, thereby reducing the power consumption of the encapsulated endoscope.
