Abstract:

The present invention provides an apparatus, a system and a method for preventing TCP connection interruption. The apparatus determines that a user equipment (UE) needs to perform a cell handover; the apparatus sends a first instruction message to a server, the first instruction message being used for instructing the server to stop sending downlink data to a proxy device; and send temporarily stored downlink data to the UE. In this way, the present invention avoids the problems of TCP connection interruption and service interruption caused by the fact that after the UE is disconnected from a source cell and is connected to a new cell, the UE initiates retransmission to the server because the UE does not receive downlink data temporarily stored by part of TCP proxies or because part of the temporarily stored data is lost, but the server does not retransmit a confirmed data packet according to a TCP protocol.
