Provided is an apparatus for transferring a printing sheet, which is provided with: a transfer table (24) having the transfer surface (24a), on which a paper sheet (S) is transferred; a front stop (25), which aligns the paper sheet (S) in the front-rear direction by having the leading edge of the paper sheet (S) abut thereon, said paper sheet being transferred by the transfer table (24); a swing gripper (26), which can hold and transfer the paper sheet (S) aligned by the front stop (25); a first guide device (27), which guides the paper sheet (S) by jetting air to a groove section (51) formed in the transfer surface (24a), said air being jetted toward the head side of the paper sheet (S) in the transfer direction of the paper sheet; and a second guide device (28), which guides the paper sheet (S) by jetting air toward a region between the front stop (25) and the groove section (51) from above the transfer surface (24a). Consequently, the printing sheet can be aligned with a correct attitude, and can be correctly transferred.
