Abstract:
An apparatus for wrapping palletized loads with retractable, prestretched, plastic film (2), comprises a unit (3) for supplying the film (2) and a carriage (4) movable on wheels (5). The carriage (4) is provided with an upright structure (6) on which the supply unit (3) is displaceable upon activation of actuating means which comprise a pulley (7) moved by a gearmotor (11) with which a flexible cable element (8) is associated, being arranged in between and connected to the supply unit (3) and to a counterweight (9) sliding on the upright structure (6). The carriage (4) comprises guiding and steering means (10) which are designed for gripping and for manually conveying the said carriage around the load during supplying of the film (2). Means (12) for operating the gearmotor (11), which are located on the guiding and steering means (10), can be activated and deactivated without release of the manual grip by the user.
