Abstract:
A worktable apparatus comprising: a work surface member (1); two cooperating clamping jaws which extend across the work surface member; at least one operating member (6) for adjusting the distance between the two clamping jaws (4, 5), the operating member extending from a first end of the work surface member; a first support leg (2) depending from the first end of the work surface member and a second support leg (3) depending from a second opposite end of the work surface member, the support legs being connected together at a location along their length; a leg extension member (2a, 3a) provided at each support leg and movable between a retracted position and an extended position which in use raises the work surface member to a convenient work height; wherein a top portion of the first support leg is movable to the second end and the support legs are subsequently pivotable to a folded position such that, when the leg extension members are at the retracted position, the support legs are substantially within a footprint defined by the work surface member and the operating member, and wherein the apparatus is carryable from the first end such that the work surface member and the operating member are substantially vertically aligned and such that a clearance is provided between the second end and the ground.
