Abstract:
Provided is an appearance inspection device capable of accurately performing, on the basis of image data obtained from one captured image, inspection pertaining to foreign matter adhesion, or the like, without performing complex determination processing. An appearance inspection device 22 comprises: an imaging device 53 capable of imaging a container film 3 via an imaging-side polarizing filter 53B; a first illumination device 51 capable of emitting light toward the container film 3; a second illumination device 52 capable of emitting light from a second light source 52A to the container film 3 via an illumination-side polarizing filter 52B; and a processing execution device 60 that performs, on the basis of image data obtained from the imaging device 53, a quality determination pertaining to foreign matter adhesion. The imaging-side polarizing filter 53B is configured so that the polarization direction thereof is a direction in which blocked is specularly reflected light from the container film 3 side, such light being of the light emitted from the second illumination device 52. The imaging device 53 images the container film 3 in a state where light is being emitted by both the first illumination device 51 and the second illumination device 52.
