The present invention discloses an appearance modification method for a smart wearable apparatus, comprising: receiving pattern data selected by a user of a terminal platform; processing the received pattern data so as to match each pixel color of the pattern with an address of each pixel, wherein the pattern consists of a plurality of pixels, and each of the pixels corresponds to one address; matching the addresses of each of the pixels of the pattern with addresses of each point light source on a light-emitting component and loading the same, so as to display the pattern by means of the light-emitting component, wherein the light-emitting component is provided in a pattern display area on a surface of the smart wearable apparatus and is a point light source array consisting of a plurality of the point light sources, and each of the point light sources corresponds to one address. The present invention further discloses an appearance modification device of the smart wearable apparatus, which reduces the cost of modifying the appearance of the smart wearable apparatus, thus enabling the smart wearable apparatus to be personalized and enhancing user experience.
