Abstract:
Failure diagnosis of an appliance having an LED as the sole output device is performed by a single diagnosing device using a blinking of the LED. In a facility where a plurality of appliances is operated, when the state of the individual appliances is diagnosed, information of a barcode on the appliance is read using a camera in a portable terminal, a diagnostic program corresponding to the appliance is determined from a plurality of diagnostic programs installed in the portable terminal on the basis of appliance information contained in the barcode that has been read, and the diagnostic program is executed to analyze the blinking of the LED of the appliance so as to diagnose and display the state of the appliance.
