Abstract:
Disclosed is an application of bacteroides fragilis and/or a zwitterionic capsular polysaccharide thereof in the preparation of a drug for treating a respiratory system tumor. Bacteroides fragilis, and particularly bacteroides fragilis ZY-312 having preservation number CGMCC No. 10685 and a zwitterionic capsular polysaccharide thereof, can increase levels of anti-tumor factors IL-12 and IFN-γ, inhibit the expression of pro-tumor factor IL-1β, promote the proportion of CD8+ CD45+T cells that have infiltrated a tumor to be up-regulated, adjust a microenvironment of tumor tissues, reduce the weight of an in situ tumor, suppress the number of tumor metastases, can effectively prevent and treat a respiratory system tumor, can be independently used for cancer treatment, and can also be jointly applied with other means of treatment such as the use of another microorganism, surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, remarkably improves an overall therapeutic effect, reduces the harm of radiotherapy and chemotherapy to an organism, effectively prevents the occurrence and development as well as the recurrence and metastasis of a respiratory system tumor, and improves the quality of life of a patient.
